More and More possible lost relatives continue to pop up, thanks to Flickr. When things like this, happen, it makes everything mean a little more than just a thousand words.

Marefe is the third to come forth and ask, “are we related?” I tried to look for a main Guinto family site, but none existed. There were many “groups” but no real website. Wouldn’t it be cool to start a worldwide Guinto site, where everybody can come, make connections, contribute, and communicate, with all the other Guinto’s?I would love to spearhead that project, but we already have our hands full with 5 volkanoboy online properties. Maybe, in the future, when things die down a bit. It’s a nice idea, though.

I just happened to find this site by accident and saw my sister’s name. Sorry Marefe, I am correcting your query. I understand your confusion with the names due to your age at the time. Grandma’s name is not Christina Victoria Poblette, it is Christina Poblette Jasminez, she is from our mom’s side, not our father’s side. Our father is the Guinto side, None of us know our grandparents name from that side, But! our father’s name is Roberto Guinto, has a brother Reynaldo, sister Erlinda now decease from child bearing. Roberto has 5 children from his relationship after he abandoned our mother and us. They live either in Lucena or Metro Manila area. My apology to everyone out there for my sister’s lack of information as she was just born when our father and mother seperated in May 1968. I understand the need for her search and I will work on that when I have the time as I already know how to find our father/where to find him, this information was just recent. I am not interested to reconnect with this man but I am interested to meet our 5 half siblings and their children if any. I am the only one out of his 4 children from his marriage who remember this man, as I am the oldest of all his children. Thank you to all who may have made effort assisting my little sister. I do hope that one of his family, nieces, nephew or his kids reply to search for them. As for our long lost father that itself is another story, I will find him when I am ready, I know where to find you now. All in due time.
