Playstation 3 Chaos

It’s finally here! Sony releases the Playstation 3 in the United States. Usually, that means joy on the highest level, but this time, it just means insanity. Sony underwhelms the world with “only” 400,000 units to the United States and about 80,000 to it’s home Japan and precisely 0 units to Europe. 80,000 units to Japan for a country of hundreds of millions? Are you kidding me? Check out the insanity in the streets of Japan earlier this week (video above). Game on!Kotaku has more on this craziness. The Engadget blog has more on the unpacking of the PS3 box and more! We suggest waiting until next year, when you might be able to walk in a store and purchase one off the shelf. Or, buy a Nintendo Wii.

It looks like I will be buying the PS3 in the next year, or whenever I can get one!
