Makati Mall Bombed

bomb Yesterday a large explosion rocked downtown Makati at the Glorietta 2 Mall in the early afternoon. Early reports said this was a gas leak explosion, but later bomb debris was found in the 26 foot crater formed. Currently, 8 people are dead and 70 are wounded. The well known Muslim rebel group, Abu Sayaff, took claimed responsibility for the bombing.

However, this was only one of three bombings around the country. The other two explosions took place in Mindanao’s General Santos City and Davao City. Glorietta Mall is one of our main malls we frequent. We shop there and watch our movies there as well. Here are more details of the events: Philippines Inquirer, Sun Star.net, and Pinoy Blogger, Disney Cute’s photos taken on the spot.

I don’t think they will ever stop. It’s impossible to bomb a “belief” to death. (see Iraq) We just have to hope we don’t get caught in the middle. Thanks for commenting, dodong!
