It’s finally here! If there was a reason to buy a Playstion 3 or xBox 360, this is one of them: Grand Theft Auto IV. We won’t dispense with the controversial hype surrounding this game (sex, murder, drunk driving, etc.). This game is for adults. If you’re a child, don’t play it. If you’re a parent, don’t buy it for your child. It’s that simple. If you’re a government or private watchdog group saying how appalling Grand Theft Auto IV is for young people, spend your time trying to stop every rated “R” film from being released. This is an adult game. It has a rating. Go away.
We’ll focus on how amazing this game is. It’s gorgeous. It’s big. It’s immersive. How big is it? Liberty City has it’s own Google maps page! It resembles the five burroughs of New York City. It’s got 16 player multiplayer mode, online! Both the PS3 and xBox360 look great. The 360 is expected to have a better online experience on xBox Live and downloadable episodic content in the future not to mention the huge list of achievement points you can rack up.
GTA is expected to break single day game purchases set by Halo 3 and make an estimated $400 million in the first week. That’s a take that Star Wars or Lord of the Rings can do over most of a year! This is why video games in the United States is makes $18 billion a year compaired to $6 billion for the movie industry. Of course, these estimates are for legally purchased games. volkanoboy.com wants you to go out and Buy a copy!

I bought the PS3 version. I buy PS3 if possible due to just buying a Sony Bravia 4XBR 40″ TV and my 360 doesn’t have a hdmi cable, but the PS3 does. The TV ROCKS it looks so sweet. The game is huge, but I am still getting my feet wet in the game and we are still on dsl where I live and online sucks. In a few months we will have cable so I may sell the PS3 game and buy an XBOX version…… Still not on XBOX Live though….
